Hi Guys, We recently upgraded to 2023R2 and have been testing, I have a customisation project which modifies the SO workflow within Sales Orders. I upgraded the workflows within the customisation project and published the project. I then attempted to go into the Sales Order Form and received the below error:Error: The entry form (ID: SO301000, title: Sales Orders) cannot be automated. Value cannot be null.Parameter name: key Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?I managed to solve it by reuploading a old version of the customisation project and not upgrading the workflows. Does anyone know if there are any adverse effects that come from leaving the workflows not upgraded? Thanks all,Aleks
Before our latest upgrade to V2023R2, which included upgrades for V2022R1 and V2022R2 the code below worked, now it doesn’t. We learned our lesson to not skip multiple updates and in the meantime I am scrambling to fix code that once worked.The information on CreateShipment states a string operation parm is needed. I went to GoTo Definition in SOOrderEntry Operation List and found that there are two options, I for Issue and R for Receipt.I do not know what the operation field does or how it affects the create shipment. I also don’t know how to add the parm in a way the CreateShipment method will accept.CODE:SOOrderEntry.CreateShipment(adapter, order.ShipDate, Filter.Current.UserWhse);

I have a customer who’s inquiring about increasing the Inventory Segmented key from 30 to 45 characters.I’ve asked for the reasoning behind this and will see if using Inventory Subitems might be a solution.But, I’d like to know if increasing the length can be done and if so, are there negative repercussions throughout the system (other then display issues due to length on reports and/or screens)?Thanks!
Hello, I’m trying to create an import scenario that will validate card payments, as a lot of payments are stuck in the Pending Processing status. I am able to manually click Validate card payment, and the capture is authorized and puts the payment in open status. I want to run this via an import scenario. I am even able to add a Mass Action on a GI that can validate the card payments in bulk, but I would want this to be scheduled or automatic. Thus trying out the import scenario.However, I get an error message: The Validate Card Payment button is disabled.Does anyone have ideas how to work around this issue? I’ve also attached the Import scenario XML. Thank you!
We created a production order for a part we had created, to be able to remove material and add some other, this production order has a step with components with negative quantities, which will strip back material and put it back in inventory. If we do a Material transaction, we have not issues.If we try to do a backflush via a MOVE transaction, we get an error message, during the MOVE referencing a location that is only used to receive purchased orders.If we remove the backflush flags from the components, we are able to process the MOVE transaction.RECDOCK is only for receiving PO’s. None of the items involved have this location in their setup. The production order is not attached to any sales order.We have since been able to process this order by doing the Material transaction and removing the backflush flags to do the MOVE. I’ve been able to replicate this scenario in one of our testing environments and I’m wondering if this is a bug.
Hi Everyone,I am working on a P&L monthly analysis report for projects. but I am having trouble on how to configure the totals’ column, i.e. when I run the report for example for March. it will show columns of Jan and Feb with zero since there are no figures in those periods as you can see the screenshot, but in the totals’ column it will show the totals from all the other previous periods not just the ones in the report which is ideally supposed to be zero. If there is anyone who knows to solve this, please help out.This is how it’s set it up in column sets.
How to create new controls on form dinamicaly? I have a custom screen in which columns are automatically generated in the grid when I select the desired GI in the "Inquiry title" selector. I take them from the GI screen and everything works fine. Now I want to take the parameters from this tab and the parameters on the GI screen and dynamically make these selectors from the code, which would be identical when you click view unquiry on the SM208000 page. How to do it from the code? Because the parameters can change depending on the selected GI. Take a look at the attached files
Hello!This is kind of an odd question, I was hoping someone might have an idea. Our Operations team has cages full of inventory that they send to a configuration center.Our Ops manager wants to use the cages as an asset and have inventory assigned to it as a location, while being able to change the location of the asset… if that makes sense.My boss suggested using the asset Module, which I am not to familiar with.Would you recommend the Asset Module, or a different way of doing this? If you recommend the Asset Module, do you have somewhere to point me by chance that will explain it a little better to use it in the manner we need? Thanks for your thoughts!
Hello,We had keyed in a new item on the sales order. Since it was new, it had 0 cost and the ‘estimated margin’ column was calculated based on 0 cost and $200 price for margin $200.Now, we have manufactured the item and the stock item is valued at say, $100. But the Estimated Margin line remains at the old cost.Is there any way of forcing the Estimated Margin to update?

Hi,I have created a Database Script to increase the length of the PayItemCD field from 10 to 20, but I can't seem to find where to do this for the on-screen field shown below.I can type as many characters as I like into the Pay Item field, but once I click into another field, it cuts it down to 10 characters.I have updated the MaxLength property of the field, but that hasn't seemed to help.Is there another way to increase the length of this field?Kind regards,Andrew Enter as many characters as I want After clicking out of the field, text is shortened to 10 characters Max Length property set to 20
