Using outlook on the web in Acumatica v6.0 to email automatically all product shipment information when a SO product shipment is released

I just came across a new feature of Outlook on the Web that could be used in Acumatica v6.o since the new version integrates with Outlook on the web.

See: https://blogs.office.com/2015/12/18/smarter-address-book-and-flight-confirmations-coming-to-outlook-on-the-web/

Although the above weblink uses flight information as an example, we could use if for product shipments to customers, for RMAs, for quotes, CRM meetings, etc.

You could use it to email daily to the CEO, COO, and CFO dashboard information ( cash flow mgt: Bank account balance +/- pending checks and CC processing + AR – AP )

Detail example:

We could use outlook on the web in Acumatica v6.0 to email automatically all product shipment information when a SO product shipment is released.

I know that you can email a product shipment form to anybody but with this feature, the product arrival can be put in the calendar of the recipient with a reminder.

Traditional product shipment emails get buried in email. The recipient will still make a note in his/her calendar of the arrival. With this new feature, it will be automatically in his/her calendar (just like a webinar schedule).

    Hi:

I ordered a couple of short pants from Walmart. Walmart emailed me a shipping notice that looks really impressive. Much better than just a PDF. We can improve this feature in Acumatica so that we  look professional.

Attached is the email msg that you can open in MS outlook.

Screenshots are in the Word document.

    Thanks for your cooperation

It is already possible to create a notification template that will be dynamically populated with information on the shipment. The default notification template is ShipmentConfirmationNotification, and is accessible via the SM.20.40.03. You can include information from document detail lines in notifications by adding a foreach loop to the body of the notification template in the HTML format (refer to the Notification Templates help screen)

    Gabriel:

Thank you. Yes I checked SM20.40.30. It is possible to make a notification like the one of walmart. Need to write some HTML, and some programming to get the document lines.

Great, it can be done quite easily.

    Thanks

    Hi Gabriel:

    Thanks for your reply.

I really meant to integrate MS office 365 outlook (OWA) with Acumatica.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Financials did it. See:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/financials

    Are we working on this?

    Thanks
