Restrict stock items based on portal user

Suppliers want to limit what specific customers can purchase on the portal. They would like to assign the limitiation by catalog/item category or by specific inventory item.

FYI: I updated the title and description to help with search for this item.

Workaround: use customer-specific pricing to set very high prices for inventory items which cannot be purchased by specific customers. But this is not ideal because your use case may require that (a) items no not appear at all, (b) customers still need a price, but they cannot purchase online.

I agree, if  we can have the portal default warehouse based on client's default warehouse..

Restriction groups allows you restrict the access to certain items or item classes to some users. But, restriction groups are not enforced on the customer portal even if we add the customer portal users to the restriction groups. It's a security flaw in my point of view.

Agree that some customers need to have a restricted view of the products that they are buying and do not need to browse through a whole list of items.  Does anyone know if there is a feature to cater for this, please?  Thank you.

I added Charlotte as a choice. If it works, you can run Receivables by Business Unit -- (BU25, 36 or 47).

It should be visible on both the Receivables Screen and UBP Tools Screen under Reports. Please let me know if they don't work properly.

We had to customize this.  We restricted the customer's catalog to ONLY show items on their price list.  There is no "company wide catalog" for any of the distribution companies I've worked for.  Needs to be part of the functionality.
