Ability to create restricted Item lists based on user for Portal

It would be nice if users can set catalog/ Item category and assign them to specific users. Even an option to restrict set of items visible on portal for specific user/ users would help.

I aggree, when you know that one customer just want a restricted category of items, and you have many items in your catalog, I think he would like to just select the items he needs, without searching for it.

We had to customize this.  We restricted the customer's catalog to ONLY show items on their price list.  There is no "company wide catalog" for any of the distribution companies I've worked for.  Needs to be part of the functionality.

I added Charlotte as a choice. If it works, you can run Receivables by Business Unit -- (BU25, 36 or 47).

It should be visible on both the Receivables Screen and UBP Tools Screen under Reports. Please let me know if they don't work properly.

Agree that some customers need to have a restricted view of the products that they are buying and do not need to browse through a whole list of items.  Does anyone know if there is a feature to cater for this, please?  Thank you.

Restriction groups allows you restrict the access to certain items or item classes to some users. But, restriction groups are not enforced on the customer portal even if we add the customer portal users to the restriction groups. It's a security flaw in my point of view.
