Offline Functionality for Field Service

I know the first thing most people are thinking right now is, "who doesn't have connectivity in the 21st century". Well that might be very true. However, being in an African country (South Africa) the service providers may not always service 100% of areas. Outlaying areas often have poor reception.

If Acumatica has any plans for penetrating market in Africa, I think this is key to succeed as local competitors like Sage have incorporated this functionality straight off the bat.

It also might happen that people simply run out of data.

    In Africa we need this even to the extent of expense receipts and  time cards

    Sorry but we will not implement this. We are online only and cannot store any data on local devices.

    Hi John, 

    We are very aware of this requirement as it has been asked multiple times in the past, but this issue depends mainly on the Mobile App team. We've had multiple meetings with them to discuss the needs of a offline functionality for the service management perspective, but because Acumatica is a based on the cloud, connection to internet is critical to almost every operation.

    We will keep you updated when we have a better knowledge of what could be accomplished.

    Good Day Service Management,

    Have just concluded a demo at a prospective client, Acumatica has lost the deal since there is not offline capability.

    I have had no feedback regarding my initial idea, or indication if it is an idea that's being worked on?

    I think if someone could get into contact with me that would be great. The whole app does not need offline capability, however it would be valuable to consider making certain functionality off line.


    If someone from your team could be so kind to respond to this we would greatly appreciate it. Even if it is just to say this will never happen for Field Services.

    As a partner of Acumatica, we would like to at least provide clients with motivation and certainty that this will not be looked at.
