Approval/ Rejection should allow approver to enter reason

When approving/ rejecting a document, the approver should be able to enter a reason. In case of a Reject, the reason should be mandatory

Approval Reasons  should also be shown on the 'Approval Details' section of the document

    Why are there no comments from Acumatica on this popular idea?  Is there a work-around that makes this idea moot?  I personally think that an approval-rejection (an oxymoron for sure) NEEDS  a reason - from a list of reasons (checkbox) and an OPTION to comment back to the original data-entry person.

    Your description of the solution is exactly what I was looking for when I originally posted this idea. All of our clients using Approval ask for this feature and currently the only way to address this feature is through customization. The workaround of adding a comment in the 'Notes' section of the document being rejected is not practical.

    Just received feedback from Acumatica that this will be considered in the future, good to be listened to. Unfortunately there will not be an out of the box solution for the time being.

    If Acumatica or anybody else thinks of any practical workaround, please share

    Is this setup yet?  I don't see a place to enter comments when approving or rejecting.  Rejection should Require a comment.  Approval comment should be optional.

    Shipped (for most use cases):

    In 2019 R1 you can require approvers to include reasons for approving and/or rejecting documents. These documents include change orders, employee time cards, equipment time cards, expense claims, pro forma invoices, project quotes, and sales quotes.

    One quick question as I did not have time to try this out yet. Is this also extended to PR/ PO and SO approval maps?

    @Angelo - only the approval map items in my prior post are supported. This does not include PO and SO approval maps.

    Is it possible to consider extending this feature either to all all approval maps or at least to the following:

    - PR/ PO

    - Bills and Adjustments

    - SO
