Rename Active column on warehouse location lookup

It constantly confuses everyone because it implies that the location is not active when cleared.  Supposedly it means that the location has had activity - when, for what?  There is NO documentation about it in the help.

Perfect. Good to see quick feedback from the Acumatica team. Thanks for the update

    Brendan,

    That's right.

The selectors don't show inactive locations/warehouses.

So to avoid confusion, you can hide the Active column in the selector.

Perfect thanks Kate. I think the fact that qty on hand is empty is enough to show there is no exiting activity so i would think just removing the column would be enough as the selector (i would think) should not show inactive locations?

    Hi Brendan,

Yes I got the point. We will fix this and make it consistent to what the Warehouses form shows.

The response confirms the confusion. As Mentioned the "Active" column in the selector is unrelated to the location active field. If we look at any of the inventory transaction screens (Issues,Adjustments, etc.) for the location selector you will find the "Active" field in the selector. The selector is the LocationAvailAttribute. The field in the selector is INLocationStatus.active. This field is checked/true when a record exists as this field is an unbound field with the PXExistance attribute. The problem is this is confusing to the users as they think this "Active" field in the selector is the location active field... when it is not. Similar field for the warehouse selector on these transaction screens. It will show warehouses as not active when it really represents activity for the item within the warehouse/location.

This is the Active column for the selector when looking up a stock location NOT the Active column on the Warehouse record.  Manufacturing is using the standard Acumatica selector so it's not a customizations.

Not sure we understand the confusion.

The logic of the Active check box of a location is pretty straightforward - if a location is not active it cannot be selected in inventory transactions, shipments, purchase receipts in the system.
