Add a Schedule to Generic Inquiry with Mass Actions

The Mass Actions tab on the Generic Inquiry (SM208000) screen is great. It allows you to add actions to the top of the Generic Inquiry.

It would be really cool though if you could schedule these actions in the same way that you can add a schedule to a processing screen like Process Orders (SO501000).

I hadn't thought about using the new Business Events to perform actions using Import Scenarios. That's a great idea. Thank you.

It can be configuring using Business Events triggered by schedule. You can configure the business event for the selected GI, and add Import scenario subscriber, which will execute necessary actions and also Email notification subscriber can be added.

After it the system will execute the generic inquiry by the schedule, and will call import scenario and send email notification for the records returned by generic inquiry (it can execute subscribers for each returned record, or one time for all records, depending on Raise event parameter).

It would also be very useful because the only way in which I'm aware you can send Notifications is when you save the document. The scheduling of generic inquirys would allow you to use certain date conditions to filter the documents and trigger actions or notifications automatically.

I hope this gets done in the future.
