Weekly Time Entry Reminder for Employees

I am trying to set up an automated email reminder using a notification template. My issue is I am unable to set this template to an automation schedule. The purpose of this automated email is to remind all employees to submit their weekly time card. Ideally this email will be sent to only the employees that have not submitted time cards for the week, however if this is not possible, then I would just like to have Acumatica send the reminder to all active employees.

Solution: In 2018 R2 we provided business event functionality which can meet this need.

    1. Create a generic inquiry that lists all people and their current WeekID time card (example attached where 4 people have entered their timecard).

    2. Use this generic inquiry to feed a business event that can run at a specific time during the week and send an email to people without a timecard that has been submitted. Include a link to the Time Card screen so users can click to fill it out.

When working for the government, we have to be DCAA compliant and these email notifications would satisfy our requirement.
