Presently the global search field is suggesting auto-complete (autocomplete) values based on erroneous data which was never entered into that input field. This is a bug, contrary to the opinions of Support. This affects any Chrome user, or user with auto-fill enabled.
It would be great if a simple HTML attribute could be added to the input tag so auto-complete will be disabled.
By simply adding autocomplete="off" to the input tag, the issue will go away.
For example, this is what the current search tag looks like:
<input id="searchInput" type="text" class="form-control" placeholder="Search...">
which would become
<input id="searchInput" type="text" class="form-control" placeholder="Search..." autocomplete="off">
Considering that there is already an auto-complete function built into Acumatica relevant to Acumatica features, this serves no value and only obstructs the application.
This shouldn't require a vote.
