Approval feature for bank reconciliations

Approval and sign-off of bank reconciliations is a fairly typical internal control -- however there doesn't appear to be a built-in way to achieve this, at least in any clear defined way.  (Options we've considered include adding an "approved" comment in the Reconciliation Statement "Notes" section, or setting granular permissions to only allow appropriate individuals to take the Reconciliation Statement off of hold and release it; however both of those approaches are more of a 'hack' than a proper approval approach.)

(It's also possible we've missed something -- in this case, a bit of direction or some other suggestions from anyone here would be helpful!)

A little 'bump' here, given we've just gone through our annual financial statement, and on thing our auditors were looking for were approvals on bank reconciliations  :-)

Oops, missed a word... should've said "just gone through our annual financial statement audit"

I completely agree with this. we currently have to print and sign the reconciliations, and then scan and email them to the auditors. It would be nice to send directly from Acumatica with electronic approvals on them.
