FA Depreciation Projection not blocked by future Periods being inactive

I want to be able to calculate depreciation for projection reporting purposes, but future periods being inactive blocks this calculation. I dont want to make the periods active, just want to project depreciation.

    Hello,

It's possible to calculate depreciation even for inactive periods for projection purposes. For this, on the Calculate Depreciation (FA502000) form, select Calculate Only value in the Action combo-box, then process selected assets and book(s). This option will only calculate depreciation values without posting them; calculation will take place even for inactive periods.

    Hello Roman

I have tried this, calculation only happens for the active periods.

I've run across the same issue,  only being able to "calculate only" for active periods.  From the Fixed Assets screen, for a particular Asset, in Actions, I can choose "Calculate Depreciation" and it will calculate depreciation for the entire life of the asset.  However, with 517 assets active, this may take some time.

    Dear Denise,

to calculate depreciation for the assets for their entire useful life, you need to use the Calculate Only action and leave the To Period empty on the Calculate Depreciation (FA502000) form.

    Best regards,
