We see this from customers and prospects regularly. Sales order created, drop ship PO created. Once vendor acknowledges shipping to the customer they do so with a tracking number. From Acumatica we then receive the PO (PO Receipt). On the PO Receipt, we need the ability to put the tracking number (and delivery method) in so that when the Drop Ship (customer) invoice is created, tracking information is handled the very same way a normal shipment package would be. This would enable the tracking number to be available to eCommerce connectors and to be also available to Business Events, or Automation Notifications systems that can email/text, etc the tracking information out to the customer.
As drop ships become more and more commonplace, managing this easily needs to be a feature. EDI integrations do this, however most customers don't use EDI.
