For General Contractors and/or Construction Managers who issue Subcontracts for areas of work they do not self-perform, there is usually a list of Compliance documentation that is required to be collected before the subcontractor is allowed to perform work on site. Many of these items can be tracked in Compliance (Insurance Certificates, Signed Subcontract received, Lien Waivers returned, W-9 form received, etc.) where, in theory, system warnings will appear when a required item is out of compliance.
It would be helpful if the list of required Compliance items could be defined in Subcontract Preferences, similar to how Attributes are now available, or a separate Subcontract Template Preference was available. Once the Compliance Items were set up and marked as Required, these would automatically appear on the Subcontract form's Compliance Tab for tracking/warning purposes.
Alternatively, it would be helpful to define Compliance Items on each Vendor, then when a Subcontract is created, the required items would automatically appear on the Subcontract form's Compliance Tab for tracking/warning purposes.
