Default Force User to Change Password on Next Login

When I create a new user using the Users (SM201010) screen in Acumatica, there are two possible situations:

1. I manually set the password to something of my choosing (usually something clever like Password!), then I tell the user how to login with their Username and Password.

2. I let Acumatica email the username and password (which could be automatically generated) to the user.

In either situation, I ALWAYS check the Force User to Change Password on Next Login checkbox because I want to force the user to enter their own password when they login.

Well, not ALWAYS. Sometimes I forget. I wish it was checked by default.

I don't see any reason why the Force User to Change Password on Next Login checkbox on the Users (SM201010) screen shouldn't be automatically checked by default every time you create a new users.

Can Acumatica change the screen to have the Force User to Change Password on Next Login checkbox be checked by default?

You can use User Type Screen and Login Creation Rules and enable the Force reset password on first login by checking the flag.

And in case you use that User type while creating users, this rule would be applied for the new user of that type being created.

Tim: While I can confirm this flag is disabled by default you can still force it by using User Type Screen and "Login Creation Rules" Tab and decide if you want to Force reset password on first Logon to be enabled for all users being created of this Type. (Check Attached ScrnShot)

You can do this via an Automation step to set the flags as you want.
