Now that Pay by Line functionality exists, it would be helpful to have AP Checks and Payments summary (i.e., additional Columns) and details (i.e, accessible in View Transactions) flow to the Cost Budget tab on Projects. Similarly, AR Payments and Applications summary and details would be welcome on the Revenue Budget tab on Projects.
While a WIP schedule will tell you on a % of Completion basis whether a Project is over or under billed , it is at least as important to know if the Company is in a positive or negative cash flow position on a Project. A positive Project cash flow ensures that there is money left to satisfy Commitments, Payables and Labor to finish the Project; negative cash flow may hint that the Project is trending negatively from a performance standpoint, or there is no incentive for the Contractor to complete the Project as they've taken their cash out of it. Banks, bonding companies and other external users of this information want to be able to see this as much as a WIP report.
