Allocation Account Automate Based on Post Period in AP

We are coming from GP 2016 to Acumatica. One functionality that I find disturbing is that the allocation accounts are not automated based on the post period from AP. When you have multiple users using the allocation accounts that straddle periods it creates a train wreck waiting to happen if the users to not pay attention to 1 - when they are using an allocation account 2 - what allocation account they are using 3 - what post period they used the allocation for. Just seems like this should auto post and distribute when the AP is released.
