We are a manufacturer with most of our production in China. Many of our products have different tariff rates. The current landed cost allocation methods do not allow for these. The only way to accurately apply the correct tariff rate to an item is create a separate landed cost document for each item. This is very time consuming.
Ultimately it would be great if you could click a box on your PO receipt that would automatically calculate an estimated landed cost for you. Right now that seems like a pipe-dream. The next best thing would be if Acumatica could calculate the tariff allocation based on a tariff code automatically when you create a landed cost document. But for now I would take the option of being able to manually enter an allocation based on a spreadsheet we have to maintain outside of Acumatica.
