Both screens (Project Quote and Projects) allow entry of UOM, Quantity, and Unit Cost without an Inventory ID. However, currently when using the Create Project button from the Project Quote screen, the UOM, Quantity and Unit Cost are lost from the Project Quote if an Inventory ID is not used.
Not all clients budget down to an Inventory ID on a project. The Budgets can be hundreds of lines long causing an extreme amount of extra work to go back to record these values again in the Project. Many clients want to evaluate the Budgeted Quantity to the Actual Quantity.
I would suggest that the same Unique Key be used for the Project Quote rows as is used on the Project screen rows so that the flow allows for UOM, Quantity and Unit Cost to flow to the Project without loss of data.
