Calculate commissions on gross margin instead of sales

Request for calculating commissions based on net revenue (sales price less cost of inventory).

Any update on being able to run commissions based upon gross profit?

The Acumatica customer should be able to define the base to which the sales commission is applied. The base could be COGS which is much more than inventory value. Sales - base = margin . The base should include as many costs as possible so that margin becomes nearly the profit. If the margin becomes too small, the sales person will complain that the base (costs) are too high. The company will have to lower its costs. Or increase its sales price if more features are included. Such a base will force the company to do better.

Such a base calculation is a small application by itself but the right approach.
