Add contact person to Sales Documents. Currently can't tell who the contact is to call/email on a sales order.

When creating Quotes/Sales orders,   user should be able to select the contact whom they are dealing with at a header level for a specific sales order.      Companies have multiple contacts placing orders and when you send emails out or call the company for discussing the sales order/quote further, there is no way to know who the contact was who placed the order with you. 

We get this request all the time and I know people have customized this on many occasions and this really belongs in the product.

System should initially default this new contact field with the main contact of the account and the user should be able to change it for the specific order/quote.

When emailing the document, the default email address used should use/include this contact.

    Not sure if I reported this issue as Guest, but we found this issue very critical and ended up customizing in Sales Order but now we have challenges to extend that to Sales Invoice as customization, this shld be prioritized as High everybody will benefit from this instead of spending precious $$ on customizations.

    Just recently we have the same request from client and have discussed customization as an option for this fundamental feature... Has anything changed?

    Got such request from a new client too. Same for shipping location contacts. Seems like a "basic" function even to my client since there's already a Contacts tab/table in the Customer Masters.

    This very issue just came up with one of our clients last week and we are proposing a customization to resolve this.  The only way to achieve this currently is through the use of Opportunities, but this is overkill and extra work if you already have a bona fide order
