Capture Manufacturer Serial Number for Serialized Item

Customers in Computer industry and other industries would love to track their inventory by Manufacturer serial number. In Acumatica we have only capability to track serial numbers withe rmanually or auto-generate, but it would be helpful also to store the Mfg serial number so they can scan/keyin the code during PR and Sales. It allows better tracking and this single feature would help if you are selling Acumatica to Computer industry or other industries where its critical to track by Manufacturer serial number.

Also being able to search on either one of them for returns/warranty etc. As of Ver 6 we still have either one of them not both ...

I'm not sure I understand the limitation of our existing serial number system. Are you also adding your own serial number on top of the manufacturer serial number? Have you reviewed the various Lot/Serial classes options, and what is missing there?
