Apparently the carriers all support this providing you send the correct data through the API. Here are the customer's comments:
It’s already on, on their end. Acumatica needs to tell the carrier that we wish to use the appropriate carrier notification service (i.e. Quantum View for UPS, or FedEx ShipAlert) when creating each shipment. There should be a checkbox for that on each shipments shipping screen.
It needs to be set per package in case we don’t have an email address for a certain customer.
