enable attributes for general ledger

In Acumatica you can define attributes for some modules, however in general ledger you cannot define attributes.  For example, often clients have multiple levels for their general ledger and it would be good to categorise the accounts in addition to account class.

    To take that one step further, we'd like the attribute and/or UDF to be available in the subledgers (ie: PO & AP) and then pass through to the GL so the information is available in it's final posting for reporting.

    In 2018 R2 we added user defined fields. The UDFs can be used for Journal Transactions, Journal Vouchers, Budgets, Trial Balance, Allocations, and Recurring Transactions inside the GL. UDF is at the document level - let us know if your applications require UDF at the line level.

    Hi Doug;

    Yes, we're using 2018 R2, but the key difference we need is for the data to be input at source (ie: an  AP bill or a PO), and then be available in the GL details when it's posted through.  So yes we need the UDF at the line level, but it's also across the modules that we're missing at the moment.  Our VAR is working with us on a GI & pivot table that will pull data from across the modules to provide what we need.

    Thanks for your response!

    And be able to report on them via ARM or even better report writing tools.
